It started as a hobby. Larry's photographic ability quickly gained the notice and respect of the local newspaper publisher in his hometown. After having hundreds of photographs published in the newspaper, Larry began to branch out to wedding and commercial photography.

Temporarily placing his photography on hold, Larry became employed with Sony Magnetic Products, Inc. of America when they established their second U.S.-based facility in Dothan, AL. Here he rose from electrical engineer to vice-president in multiple quality control, quality management and business responsibilities. In this capacity, Larry served as the driving force behind the establishment of a local technical customer service group that covered the entire America's region. Thus, Larry was able to visit and work directly with all the major broadcasting networks, as well as many of the cutting-edge video production, post-production and duplication facilities in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, New York and Orlando, and multiple international locations in South America, Europe and Asia.

Through this exposure and experience of 25+ years, Larry gained first-hand knowledge of video technology, and its powerful influence on the viewer. With the arrival of commercially available high definition video cameras from Sony, Larry combined his one-time hobby with his life-long knowledge and experiences to implement his dream: to step into the world of video. Thus, Hi-Def Videography (HDV) was born.

HDV is a family owned and operated business. Owners Larry and his wife and partner, Clare, are active participants in the wedding video industry. HDV is a member of the Wedding & Event Videographers Association International (WEVA) (www.WEVA.com). HDV attends the annual WEVA conferences and periodic WEVA town meetings in Atlanta to stay up-to-date and offer clients the ultimate "state-of-the-art" approach in videography offerings. HDV is also affiliated with the Atlanta Videographers Association and is a member of the Dothan Alabama Chamber of Commerce. HDV fully supports and abides by the WEVA Code of Ethics.

Wedding videography is HDV's main focus. Each event is uniquely inspiring in its own special way. Larry and Clare enjoy sharing and preserving the most important day in the lives of their clients. Customers will treasure their uniquely personal wedding movie productions, and watch them for generations to come.

While STORYteller wedding videography is the most important part of the HDV portfolio, the capabilities of high-definition video, combined with their broad range of equipment, software systems, and the experience and creativity of the Hi-Def Videography team, are limited only by the imagination of our clients.

Please let HDV know if we can be of any help in fulfilling your unique and creative videography needs.
